Orono Fair

Orono Fair (4) Orono Agricultural Society

September 9 to September 12, Gates close at 3:00 PM on Sunday

To our valued members, volunteers, sponsors, fair patrons, vendors, friends and family of the Orono Fair,

During this time of uncertainty and rapidly changing threat of COVID-19 it is with heavy hearts that we are writing to inform you of the cancellation of the 2021, 168th Orono Fair on Sept 9th-12th . Having to make this decision for the second year in a row is very disheartening and regretful. As difficult as this is to do again, the safety and well-being of our community far outweighs the risks associated with a large public event.

The cancellation of the traditional Orono Fair that everyone loves is not the end. Over the next few months, the board will be exploring opportunities to show support to our agricultural community in ways that adhere to public health guidelines. This is in the early stages of planning and as decisions are made updates will be shared with our fair community.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support. We hope to see you at the 2022, 168th Orono Fair, September 8th - 11th. We wish you and your loved one's health, wellness and safety during these difficult times.
